Shade Description:
Abigail: An angelic glow, use as a highlight on cheekbones, eyes or lips. Named after Abigail Becker, known as the Angel of Long Point.
Harriet: A lovely berry, positively striking on any skin tone. Named after Harriet Tubman, an American abolitionist and political activist with a Canadian connection.
Isabella: A creamy peach, perfectly suited for anyone who wishes for a touch of warmth. Named after Isabella Valancy Crawford, an Irish-born Canadian writer and poet.
Maud: A pretty pink, absolutely the sweetest, naturally pigmented rose. Named after Lucy Maud Montgomery
Nellie: A muted mauve, considered the perfect nude for fair and light skin tones. Named after Nellie Mclung, Canadian orator, author and reformer.
Viola: A true cool pink, so classic and sophisticated; a natural pop of bright colour. Named after Viola Desmond, entrepreneur and hairdresser who defied the odds and withstood racial inequality.
NOTE: Lip & cheek rouge is not tested on animals. It is certified cruelty-free by PETA. However, it is NOT vegan, since this vintage-inspired formula contains certified organic beeswax, and Ecocert approved Carmine. Carmine is a 100% natural crimson pigment derived from carminic acid which is produced by the cochineal beetle. It is the only way to achieve naturally true pinks in an Eco-certified formula. It is a natural, renewable and non-toxic pigment, used as a dye for over 1000 years. The harvesting process is sustainable and helps to support family business in South America. We are proud to incorporate this raw material, but realize it may not be appreciated by all. The shades Isabella and Abigail do not contain Carmine.
